What to do with old cell phones?
I have an ancient Nokia cell phone from Cingular. Other than just toss it out, what can I do with it. Is there some company or organization which buys ancient cell phones for parts? Should I question Cingular if I can sell it back to them? Can someone help me with this question. Thank you.

go to futureshop or bestbuy and do a trade thing called flip your phone or ipod. What it does it that you can take in your ancient phones and ipods and trade it for the exact value on a gift card at their store so you buy from the gift card. Though, they only take certain types of phones. But give it a try! Hope this Helps!

Some seats will buy them from you, but you won’t give much, Though if you want to do something helpful instead, They some organizations that let you give them your cell phones to help with the troops for them to be able to call home, They refurbish them and them get them turned on etc etc and send them to the troops so that they can stay in contact with their families which is awesome…. Check with you local Department of human services, or a church, and sometimes you can find local information on the net for your hometown regarding the troops and ancient cell phones…. hope this helps

well you could bring it in to one of the Cell phone retails seats everywhere they sell them like once in a mall and give it to them to recycle into new parts or their are seats everywhere you drop them off in a box so they can be ship away they would doubtless be in an electronic store of some kind.
and that’s all I could reckon of hope that you have some luck in getting rid of the cell phone. ^_^

I don’t reckon anyone ever keeps their phone in anticipation of it looks like this. I had this for two year I reckon. Now I got a new phone.
For some reason i can’t activate it. I know it was verizon but it is from like 2000 so possibly it’s too ancient?

I’m going to take upon yourself that you already have a verizon wireless account that is active. If you do, you simply call VZW and they activate it right over the phone (use a land line since you will be making a call to activate your cell).
If you don’t have a VZW account, they wouldn’t know who you are.
The phone is very ancient, might want to look into an upgrade. Tons of qwerty phones now.

Ancient models of Nokia mobile phones. This “exhibition” is at the Helsinki Railway Station. Unfortunately my memory card ran off and this film is quite small.
