Sprint Wireless?
Okay, so… I’m wanting to get a cell phone, and have decided that Sprint would be the better way to go for me. Now, what I want to know is, how much the deposit would be and if there is anyway to get out of paying it (I know that I may still have to pay it, I’m just curious!). And also, when I go to order my phone and plan is there a way to pay with electronic checking instead of a credit card?

I think the amount of deposit depends on the shape of your credit. They do a credit check, and you may or may not get approved for a phone or certain number of phones, and may have a spending limit set. The better your credit, the lower the deposit, if you are approved. There is no way around it–it’s Sprint’s way of protecting it’s interest in case you walk out the door with the phone that you got for free (or purchased at a discount) and then never pay anything. They don’t typically “order” the phone, they usually keep them in stock at the Sprint store. You also are required to pay an “activation fee” for them to set up the phone. Not sure about the electronic checking thing, but I’m thinking that they don’t do auto-deduct or anything. Anyhow, be careful with Sprint–they tell you what your monthly bill will hypothetically be but leave out all sorts of extra monthly fees and you’re going to end up paying a lot more than they tell you that you will–if you decide that Sprint is for you, then budget accordingly. They charge a lot, but the network is great–you never roam, and I have had great service pretty much everywhere I’ve been–no complaints in that department.

I got a sprint wireless connect card and want to connect it to my xbox, I didn’t buy the sprint router they said I needed for it because I figured there was another way.
Answer by Greyolddave
I assume that the sprint card is meant for the PCMCIA slot on a laptop. It probably also fits a slot in the special sprint router. You will notice that the xbox does not have that kind of slot. The xbox has its own type of wifi adapter.
So, you put the sprint card into the sprint router. Then you use the xbox wifi adapter to connect wirelessly to the sprint router and the card connects to the sprint cell network.
