How to find out if the Nokia N95 8GB is original?

Dial *#7780# on your phone and if the phone questioned for a factory reset then your phone is original – you can also dial *#0000# and then a menu will pop up listing the phone model and firmware version installed, these menus won’t open IF your phone want a real Nokia N95. If you have a Fake phone then you wont find features such as Push to Talk (PTT) in it. And if you still can’t tell if it’s real or not then take it to a Nokia sales and service store.

Hope this helps.

I too have got one 6 days back and it is made in Korea. Apparently, the NOKIA mobile phones are not being manufactured in Finland any longer. I have searched around nearly all part of the City and this is the answer I got from the authorized genuine retailer. I have found one or two pieces in some stores, but they were from the ancient stock. I had the same doubt as yours and I posted the same questions in some forums to find the answer. It depends largely on from everywhere you buy your phone. If you had bought your set from an authorized seller, I don’t reckon you have much conundrum there. I will try the codes too.

  • Compatible with USB and USB2 port
  • Synchronize and charge at the same time
  • Comes with a LED indicator
  • Support PC and Mac

With the AC adapter included in the box, you can charge your battery each time the Nokia N95 8Gb sits in the cradle. It features a stylish design. The advantage of this cradle over the simple sync cable is that you always have a clear view of your Nokia N95 8Gb’s screen when it’s sitting in the cradle.

Bring up to date 26.05.2010! READ THIS FFS! ^^ Check out this link for bending the metal clamp instead of fiddling with the plastic rail and some tape. horners.at I have recently tested this and it works better, it will keep the phone tight for the rest of it’s natural life. There is only one catch, the metal bar is honestly brittle, so be very careful when you bend it, and remember you don’t need to bend it much, part of a mm will do. Do numerous test fits while you carefully bend. Kudos and thanks to the user who gave me the link: youcancallmeelove Give him a pat on the back and a thanks if you visit his channel. Bring up to date 16.02.08 (Read this) Tape used in video is a bit to thick. Be very accurate and careful with the tape piece or else it wont stick to the plastic rail properly. How to fix loose slider on a Nokia N95-8GB, it’s a bit different/harder than fixing a regular N95. This is doubtless the fifth time I do this and this mod seem to be very excellent. Same smooth slide without the annoying click on the left side of the screen. Cons and pros. +Removes the loose slider on right side. +Simple to do. +Does not require any special tools. -May break the guarantee. -It’s possible to break something if not careful enough. -It does not remove the very small looseness on the y axis. Delight in =)
