How do I get my Sony Ericsson to not make sound when I turn it on?

Whenever I turn it on or off, my Sony Ericsson makes a really loud, obnoxious signal. I’d prefer to not have to listen to it each time I turn my phone on or off for the rest of the time that I have it. I’ve looked through each menu I can on the phone, through the Settings folder, and there’s nothing that says anything for the signal when I turn it on or off. Any suggestions?

The only way to remove the signal when you turn on your phone is to place the phone into “Silent Mode”. There is no other option on the phone that will allow you to disable the music played at the start.

I wanted to know if their’s anyway to connect my sony ericsson w760a to my computer’s internet by the usb cable so i can download some of the stuff off of the sony ericsson website without huge internet bills on my phone.

hi i have this phone 2 so i can help you

ok First go to www.sonyerisson.com then take you mouse and drag it over on top of the “support” tab: at the top right of the site then more options should appear below support… click on “software downloads” then it will open up a page and you must open the drop-down menu and select your phone model, then scroll down and you will see a few options… download these programs
1) “PC suite”
2) both of the programs under “Media management”

then follow the simple instructions in the PC suite program
