for that game, i reckon either would be fine. they’re close to the same cpu. in all honesty. the memory should be enough in wither case. more is always better though. shouldn’t make a huge difference if any at all. the only key difference is the video adapter. the 5450 would be a better choice for making a bet, period. the 6150 isn’t as advanced as the ati thus less capabilities. though, both setups are over kill. if it was me, i’d go with what my wallet allowed. if you are like me, remember, you can always upgrade later.

I’m looking to get something decent for about a grand. I don’t need to run Crysis on max settings or anything like that, just be able to run a decent quantity of games on medium settings. Will this pc do the trick? Is anything on this model not upgradeable in the future?(IE, is the graphic card integrated). Thanks for any and all help, I’m not really that smart with computers!

I really don’t want to build one; this will be a gift for Christmas from my parents and they are 100% completely against it. They want to buy one premade from the manufacturer. I kind of agree with them, they’d rather toss money down the toilet and have a warranty. Also note, my comp right now is pushing 8 being ancient (I’m running an ATI Radeon integrated 200 series xpress with only a gig of ram.) so I’m sure either way this is an upgrade! LOL. Even though I said making a bet pc, I really only reckon I’d majorly use it for games like WoW, Starcraft 2, Command and Conquer, Valve games like Left 4 Dead, and possibly Dragon Age 2. Any games like COD or Fallout I prefer on the console…unless of course I could run them at 60fps, which is out of my budget I reckon! haha.
Also, why don’t I just get this for now, and then down the line drop a better card in there? I can do that, right?

Yes it is a very nice making a bet pc eventually I would trade out the video card but I reckon you will be pleased. And when you buy a new pc like that there is warranty and no worry if you were to build one. I say go for it.

you might as well build your own computer. upgrading a manufacturer’s computer takes lot more money since they lock the motherboard (preventing you from overclocking) and the case is a mid-tower so its really small. the hardware that they give you are low end and you might not even need everything they give you, wasting more money.

Answer by Vomit
No. The 5570 is not a excellent making a bet card. It’s underpowered. The six core Phenom II is utterly unnecessary for making a bet. Nothing you play will use all six. Quad is more than enough.

Yea..its not terrible. You could build one for less and I can give help if you are comfortable with building one.

Yes, you could buy that system now and upgrade to a better graphics card later. Though, manufacturers typically use the cheapest power supply they can which is sufficient to support the factory build. They don’t bed in a 450W unit if their factory configuration only needs 300W.

Export a system with a low-power card like the Radeon 5570 has a drawback- upgrading to a high-routine card later on would doubtless require export a new power supply as well.

The 5570 isn’t terrible, it’s certainly enough for casual games and can even handle Call of Duty. But it’s too weak for Terrible Company 2, Just Produce 2 etc. It’s a LOT slower than cards which only cost $ 20-$ 30 more.

The Radeon 5570 performs nearly identically to the 4670, which it was designed to replace. It was engineered to require less power than the grown-up card while offering the same routine.

No… not really, that computer is kinda upside down for making a bet.

It’s got an expensive 6-core processor (which doesn’t provide any advantages over a quad for making a bet) but it’s got a relatively weak graphics card in the Radeon 5570. You’d want something with a better graphics card like a GeForce GTS 450, Radeon HD 5750 or at the very least, a 5670.

These off-the-shelf systems are much better:
