What are Acer like as a brand for laptops?

I’m thinking of export an Acer laptop and I was just wondering what they’re like as a brand and are they reliable?

Acer has one of the best reliability ratings for laptops really. They are a excellent company for laptops.

Acer has really excellent laptops. I had an HP laptop (which was crap, and it broke). I got my Acer laptop and its wayyyyy better. Plus it was half the price of the HP laptop.

I own one Acer laptop. The motherboard was hurt after about two being with normal usage without any mishandling. This was replaced with a new motherboard which again stopped to function a few days ago i.e. after about one and a half being.

Are the motherboards of Acer laptops prone to hurt?

What preventive actions I can take to preclude this in the future?

Have not had any problems with my three. Are you by it on soft surfaces that are blocking the air holes and preventing the cooling from working right? Are you by it in a high temp environment? Either conundrum will kill a M/B no matter what the brand.

Not that I have heard, any more than any other brand. The conundrum might be the name LAPTOP. A lot of people take this seriously and house it on their lap in their nice comfy chair. The conundrum with this is that the cooling vents are nearly always on the bottom of the laptop, and when they are blocked the system overheats and SOMETHING will break, usually the motherboard. Make sure you always have a hard surface under your laptop, (I use a small plastic cutting board) and that the small plastic or rubber “feet” are in excellent condition. You can usually buy rubber stick on “feet” at a leisure activity shop to replace any that have disappeared into the nevernever. When I’m moving around I always keep a couple of spares, as well as my small cutting board in case I can’t find a desk. I cut it down so it fits right into my laptop case so I’m never without it.
