Can the SIM card in my old Nokia phone work in a Blackberry 8100? Would I need to pay for anything extra?
Hi, I am considering upgrading my ancient Nokia phone to a Blackberry 8100. Would I be able to stick my sim card in and start by the phone immediately, or would I need to contact my service provider (AT&T)? Is my sim card even compatible with this phone? I don’t need Internet or any extras. Thank you!

If the Blackberry is AT&T as well, then just place in your SIM card, and you should be excellent to go. You may need to upgrade your plot though (for data usage if you want to use the internet without being charged an insane quantity of money).

if it has a house for a sim card then just place in the nextel sim or the prepaid sim plot that u can use for your phone hopes this helps

Take it to a pre-paid service provider and see if they can use it and set it up for you … if it is too ancient they won’t be able to activate it due to changes in technology and government regulations on GPS … I had an ancient phone that they could not reactivate with any provider due to these regulations …
