Should I get the Samsung SC-MX20 camcorder or the DXG 595V camcorder?

I don’t know which one is the best deal. I make a webshow and I like to make unsystematic videos. That’s what it will be used for along with making home movies and recording footage on family vacations. Following, are links for each of the camcorders:

Personally I would go with Samsung,more reliable brand

According to ConsumerReports both the models have not been tested yet.

But according to ByJoel.com SC-MX20 has better customer rating

My husband just brought home a camcorder that he received as part of an incentive. It is a Samsung Digital Video Camcorder VP-D371i – I have no clue about camcorders. What is the difference between this one and dvd camcorders? What is a firewire? Am I able to download videos to my PC to copy to DVD?
