How can I use my Verizon Wireless internet connection to work as a wi-fi connection for my iPod touch?
What can I do so my Verizon wireless internet would work as a wi-fi tie for my iPod touch?
Answer by kshields85
Is the internet tie on your laptop via the internet card or USB thing if so, if the computer your Verizon Wireless tie is on has WiFi see if you can go into either the WiFi company tool for SSIDs or What ever version of windows (assuming that you use windows) and use the Window’s(R) WiFi tool to setup an ‘Ad-Hoc’ which is a computer to computer tie, which means your laptop acts as a WiFi router for only one device (i.e. your iPod Touch) You also may have to setup a network bridge between your Verizon Wireless internet device and your WiFi if your computer’s internet tie isn’t shared on your compy.
but an ‘Ad-Hoc tie is definitively the cheapest and quickest way,’
as cheap as free!!! aslong as you have WiFi and this magic Verizon Wireless device you speak of!!!

Verizon MiFi 2200 Tie

I already had an Alltel Internet tie that I inserted into the USB port of my laptop to access the Internet when we were away from the house. That meant that Jim had to use a phone line and log onto AOL. It was always a pain.
Now with this Verizon Wireless MiFi card, we will be setting up our own network and will be able to connect both our laptops to the Internet.
I’m charging the card now. Later we will plug each laptop to the card via USB cable. It will only connect to laptops that have been paired with it.
I have verizon wireless internet service and I really want it to hook up to my wii…do i need a cord? is there anyway not to use a cord?

go to internet and get the wireless code and place it in
Answer by tessajanell
we had to get a wireless router to do it. It doesn’t cost you any more per month, just the one time cost of the router.

It’s wireless. Hence, no cord. Your Wii will find the network in the setup.

Go on options then internet then choose wireless select your wireless network type in password (If you have one)
Done.

Wii’s don’t even have an ethernet port. There’s nowhere to place a cord.
They have an internal wireless adapter. On your options -> Internet tie settings, just scan for nearby SSID’s. If your router is close enough, it’ll detect it automatically. You may need to enter an encryption key if you have one.
