How is the quality of print outs from epson's new line of personal photo lab printers?

I recently saw the new line of photo lab printers from epson. Is the quality of print out better than the ones obtained from Walgreens, Walmart, CVS. Is it cheaper to have one at home. The print packs are kind of expensive. How many prints can be obtained from a print pack? How much is the cost per print? I am interested in buying one. Before buying one, I want to hear some comments about these printers.

I honestly recommend doing it the Walgreens way.

I tried buying a huge print pack at Costco thinking it would save me money, but it never did. You always seems to be in a situation where you need to buy more ink.

It seems like a excellent deal on the surface, but when you add up all the ink and paper you have to end up buying, it really seems to be cheaper submitting your digital prints to Walgreens.

What I always do is upload them to wallgreens.com Its awesome because you can crop them and get them just perfect the way you want, then send them to be printed right from your computer, then pick them up an hour later.

You really can’t beat that convience of cropping and alternative them up that simple.

Even beyond that, I really do reckon they are cheaper anyway at Walgreens.

Its tough to come up with exact prices per print when we are talking the print packs, but I can tell you that 4X6 prints at Walgreens currently go for 19 cents.

The C68 is a US model and the D68 is a UK model. Are the ink cartridges interchangeable?

well you find the names of compatible printers on the sticker that comes with the ink cartridges

Yes, they should work. Many times compatible cartridges that are produced overseas will bear one or the additional, but not both. In my experience the D68s have worked fine with US printer models. Unfortunately I can’t say whether or not the C68 will work with the UK version of the printer.
