bottomline is with ordering a laptop, get the best processor and screen that you can afford, because those are UN-upgradeable. Memory, hard drive, wifi, all of those can be upgraded later.

Mac OS X Leopard with VMware running windows 7 ultimate is what I use everyday and it just works. If you can afford a high end Dell then make the jump to Mac with virtual or bootcamp windows i promise you will never even buy a another windows based laptop at a yard sale!! You will be happy and the hardware lasts so much longer. Some say they are over priced whatever you get what you paid for with anything you buy. I’m. Not a PC hater and MAC monkey just a computer guy that has tried a lot of hardware and OS’s Hope this helps. Good luck. !!

I noticed a while back that the battery in my Dell laptop would no longer charge. Not too long after, the AC adapter quit, so I ordered a new one. I got it in today, and my battery still will not charge past 2%. My laptop is listing the condition of the battery as moderate. What can I do to get it working right? The computer is a Dell Inspiron 1545.

aside from opening it and replacing the batt’s in it (VERY RISKY) AND DANGEROUS just get a new batt. NOT from dell they charge way to much , look on-line for your Dell Inspiron 1545 and put battery in the search and you will find may of them

it is a common issue with many laptops. after using the laptops for 1 to 2 years you need to repalce the battery

you can buy a High Capacity replacement battery for Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop for $ 50+ that lasts 4 to 4.5 hours with single charge at
