How to fix a toner error on a brother printer ?

I reinstalled a new toner which is a TN-550 on a brother printer that is capable of fax, copy, and scan. The screen is saying toner error but i tried everything i may maybe reckon of to fix it. Anyone had this conundrum and know how to fix it?

I have three computers, two with wireless capability and I have a Brother printer which is wireless capable. I connect the non-wireless computer to the printer via a USB wire and it works fine, but my additional two computers cannot “find” the wireless printer so that I can set it up. Any suggestions? If I hook them up with the USB wire, it is no conundrum, it is the wireless connection I can’t get to work.

Did you turn on the wifi on the printer and make sure that you place in the password. (If you have one) Also make sure that your connected to the same router (on the printer) that the mainframe is using. If none of this helps restart your printer.

Follow the Network User Guide for your printer. You need to configure the printer with your network settings, such as IP addrses, gateway, and subnet. Once your printer is recognized by the router, then you will need to install the printer software to connect to your networked printer.

If you don’t have the manual, go to Brother’s Support web site to view the Network user guide. It’s pretty apparent how to set it up. I have the MFC-7840W on a wireless network.

Ensure that your printer and router are on, and that your computer’s wireless adapter is active. If your wireless network has a network key, have it clever. Make sure you have administrator rights on your computer.

Find and press the “Menu” button on your printer. Use the up and down arrow buttons to select the later options, pressing “OK” after each one: “Network,” “WLAN” and “Setup Wizard.”

Press “OK” when the text “Network I/F switched to Wireless” appears on the printer’s show. Select your network’s name using the up and down arrow keys. (This is the name of the network you connect to on your computer.) Press “OK.”

Select your network’s encryption type (or select “Open System” and “No Encryption) and type in your network key, if apt.

Insert your printer’s installation CD (the one that came with your printer). Select “Install MFL-Pro Suite” from the menu that appears. Follow the on-screen prompts, selecting “Wireless Network Connection” when questioned about connection types. Unless you have multiple printers connected to your network, the program will select your printer automatically. Follow the on-screen prompts to install drivers. Restart your computer.
