Now that the price of Sony Laptops has gone down, I need to know is the quality of Sony laptops still high?

I have been told HP and Dell laptops have gone down in quality the last few years.

Maybe yes and no.

Do some research. If a high end laptop is cheaper than ever than maybe yes. If what you think is a high end laptop is cheaper than ever when it’s really not that high-end, then no.

I have always thought that Sony’s laptops are not very good quality. Everyone I know who has one hates it and it breaks. I definitely think Dell’s quality has gone down over the years. I used to be very high on them but now I don’t trust their computers.

To the point, I think your love Sony the brand. Here are the things relating to the Sony brand, premium Japanese company which make in the past great break through products like Sony Walkman and Playstation each product blow away the competition. Sony came late into the laptop computer business, there was nothing technology unique about the laptops to ask for a premium price. But that did not matter for Sony understood Apple magic of uniqueness……Fashion, style for those wanted more style than a mere super fast laptop was willing to pay a steeper price because they are rich or well off. Sony follow Apple path to greater profit in charge a high price. Are the quality high? As high as any computer (HP, Dell, Lenovo, Toshiba) assemble in China. In the end if you love the look and style of the Sony laptop go buy it and forget about the question about quality because quality is totally subjective. Look at Acer made in Taiwan great fit and finish, but totally un-reliable. Fujitsu made in Japan but break down like the rest thats made in China.

I am looking into buying a sony vaio, Can you tell me what kind of service they provide, good or bad customer service? Also how do the laptops hold up?

Their warranty is basicly the same as any other company the first year, if you have more then that it’s normally 150 and up.

They are one of the top free brands, along side HP and Toshibia. I know that both HP and Toshibia have great customer service, so I can only assume Sony does. My sister has a Sony computer and she loves it. But I have had the most experence with HP and they have always been great to me.
