How much will a Sony Ericsson K850i (with an unlimited T-mobile data plan) replace a Blackberry Pearl 8100?
i delight in having push email with two email clients, and i also delight in the auto highlight feature for phone numbers and websites on my blackberry, and was wondering if a Sony Ericsson K850i may maybe replace any of these features.

My Blackberry Pearl is fun and I got a fantastic deal when I signed up for my plot.
There is a excellent review about the Blackberry Pearl over at this blog.
http://www.mobile.123thebest.info/blackberry-pearl/ I would check it out.

Lit-up keypad – Blue Ring Of Death – Sony Ericsson K850i

My phone died again… for no apparent reason
I had it flashed after I bricked it in April and it has been fine… until now!
Seems like the "blue ring of death" is not rare… may maybe be a hardware stoppage in the circuit board. Just as well it is still under waranty.

Update 2009.08.12: The stupid phone just died again! It was just sitting on my desk, and it rebooted unsuccessfully! It’s a excellent phone, but dammit, fix the dodgy firmware flash memory! This is re-flash #4!
Is there an simpler way? Please don’t tell me to re-enter one by one. Hahaha…
I know that Nokia PC suite can back up my content, but I don’t know how to transfer everything to a Sony Ericsson phone. Please help!
Thanks!

I would try to export your Nokia Contacts to a CSV file or something similar that Sony’s software can read.
The additional option is to have Nokia sync the phone’s contacts to Outlook / Outlook Express THEN have Sony do the same business.

Sony Ericsson excels at a lot of things, but cell phone design isn’t always the company’s strong point. It’s not that its phone are hideous (most of the time they’re reasonably pretty), but their controls tend be too stylish for their own excellent. The K850i has the same conundrum; it’s stylish and sharp, but we found its navigation array and camera controls not so simple to use. But before we get there, let’s address the excellent stuff first. Like most Sony Ericsson handsets, the K850i has a standard candy bar design. With its shiny black hue and green highlights, it’s eye-transmittable without life ostentatious. At 4 inches by 1.9 inches by 0.7 inch, it has an average size though it’s a bit weighty at 4.2 ounces. Sony Ericsson always does a excellent job with its displays, and the K850i is no exception. The 2.25-inch (320×240 pixels) screen supports a bright 262144 colors. It shows everything well, from graphics to photos and text, and the menus are simple and simple to use. You can exchange the clock size and the brightness, but no additional options are customizable.
