Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman BUTTONS?

Well I’m switching Sprint to AT&T and my daddy and mommy wants me to get a free phone….(YUCK!) I was looking at this phone Sony Ericsson W580i Walkman…. Click this link to access the page on what it looks like::

and I’ve read the reviews and mostly the main conundrum about this phone is that the button breaks in half and they tear and break easily. I would very much like this phone and the additional free phones there are pretty hideous so, how do i prevent this from happening if you have this phone or you know a solution to my conundrum. PLEASE HELP AND THANK YOU!

I got for myself an iPhone in march on my trip to NYC. Been reasonably pleased with it so far, compared to my ancient Sony Ericsson W700i Walkman it sure covers most features I would ever need. I am not going to write a full review of it right now but lets just say I judge it was 400$ well spend

PS: I also unlocked it and jailbroke it to be able to install 3rd party apps and games. You can also see on the picture theme I made based on my website. Icons are not made by me, but I had to edit few which were missing for some apps.

II really like this phone, but keep seeing many reviews about the buttons cracking… Is AT&T replacing the phone when this happens?

Att warrenty is currently aware of it. Its a known issue and the manufactor has expanded the warrenty to cover the cracking buttons. If it happens to you call this number 800 801 1101 (att warrenty) and they’ll set you up with a new phone
