Can I switch my old apps from my blackberry to a new blackberry?

I had to get a new blackberry cause the additional one had some technical issues. I was curious if you may maybe switch the apps from the ancient blackberry to my new one.

You should be able to with most of your apps. It is usually licensed to a phone number. If some of your apps are licensed by EIN then just contact the vendor. My experience in the past is that if I provide them with the ancient EIN and then the new one, they’ll transfer without issue.

Once you install each app, you’ll know pretty quickly whether you’ll need to contact the vendor.

Sometimes I wonder why I still have this ancient phone.

ive owned an ancient version of the blackberry (8700) and recently have gotten a blackberry curve. i want to use the new curve now but i dont want to lose all my contacts. is there any way i can place my sim card in the new curve but still have my contacts or have a way to transfer them without a USB cord? if it helps i have my contacts on outlook.

any advice would help!

Using a USB cord is the simplest way, but you may maybe download Google Sync (m.google.com/sync) and install it on the 8700, sync the contacts, and then install it on the curve, and sync. That should transfer all your contacts. Using the SIM card is not worthwhile because the SIM can only record VERY limited info on your contacts, probably the name and one phone number, nothing else.

Assuming your sim card is compaible you should be okay. I would risk it though. Can you paste all your contacts and email them to yourself?

If you may maybe use a usb somehow and download them to desktop administrator you’d be okay too.
