How does verizon wireless internet work and cost?

I want to have internet that I can use when I travel. What does verizon charge? And how does this work? Is it boundless use for internet? How quick is the internet connection?

At first I was thinking you were talking about Mobile Web on your cellphone As I read further, it appears you’re talking broadbrand, which you can access any via PDA/smartphone/Blackberry or PC card installed into your mainframe.

What kind of phone do you have? Or are you talking about the broadband wireless access card?

I have an EnV, and I subscribe to Vcast to get boundless internet, Vcast access, and Get it Now! for $ 15/month.
If you don’t mind using your minutes while you’re online, there is a $ 5/month plot for that too.

On my phone the connection is really pretty quick, as long as the webpage doesn’t have too many graphics. A lot of services have special pages made particularly for mobile access- like Gmail and facebook load very quickly are are very simple to steer.

If you are looking for the broadband card, I don’t personally use it, but I emotionally involved some links from Verizon’s website as well as another Y!A question on this topic with a excellent answer below. There’s even a place where you can “test drive” it, so maybe it will give you a feel of how quick it is? Not sure how that works. But it looks like they are charging $ 79/month for the boundless access plot, which is the only one I see available.

Verizon MiFi 2200 Connection

I already had an Alltel Internet connection that I inserted into the USB port of my mainframe to access the Internet when we were away from the house. That meant that Jim had to use a phone line and log onto AOL. It was always a pain.
Now with this Verizon Wireless MiFi card, we will be background up our own network and will be able to connect both our laptops to the Internet.

I’m charging the card now. Later we will plug each mainframe to the card via USB cable. It will only connect to laptops that have been paired with it.
