For me computers are used at home and in work as a source of information and additional datas about of something you want to know.
And it can also serves as a communication to additional public who are far from us.And in talking about in work,it can help you make your work simple and lighter.

Such as if a guy were to hurt someone in one city and had a police report place against them, but with no court trial; and then months later got into a fight in a different city and was taken in for a few hours due to a citizen arrest and has to later appear at court at that city. How would this effect the offender, even if he were defending himself in the fight? Will the police report from months ago be brought up to be used against him for that trial?

Yes that first incident will be on file and available to the prosecution, it will only be used if they choose to bring it up, which is a excellent chance.
