Why won't my Blackberry 8310 receive ringtones using Bluetooth from other cell phones?

When I try to send my Blackberry ringtones from other cell phones by Bluetooth, my phone connects with them but then says “Service not supported” or something like that. Help me delight!

You have to go into your media folder and hit the menu button and select “receive by bluetooth”

Go to the “Media” folder and click on the menu button (the button to the left of the track ball with the 7 small white dots on it). Scroll down and choose recieve by bluetooth, now the other bluetooth device will be able to send the file to you.

possibly because some carrier blocked their phones from sending and/or receiving ringtones by bluetooth.
try audacity to make your own ringtones,but if you want those with excellent signal you could search for legit house on the web then transfer to phone by usb cable.

of course i do well not me but my sister does and hers is incredible you have a GPS and you can get on the inerneet (blackberry storm) and i highly recomend that you get one or reckon about getting one but i dont want you to get it just because i said so you get what you want to get

i reckon a lot of guys like blackberry’s. its a very excellent business phone. fantastic if you use the internet and email a lot.

I was issued a blackberry at my previous employer. Blackberry devices are extremely helpful in the business world.
