When will the Nokia N79 be available on contract in the UK?
It’s a really good phone but at the moment only seems to be available sim-free

The N79′s specs were just released to the press. The actual release to the market will take approximately 6 months. As always it will (so it seems) it will debut in Europe before it gets to the US.

i agree with the fact it takes about 6months from announcement to release. the 6600 was announced in april and only came out last month.

But the n79 was announced back in april with full specs. ive been keeping my eye out for it too. it should be out on contracts soon.

Friend of mine came over, had her Nokia N79 dropped in her Louis Vuitton bag – along with a bottle of water.

Phone is ok now, only the keypad seems to have a problem. Oh yeah, and the display is kinda blury.

First time to open an N79. Looks like Nokia messed up on this one.
