Q&A: Im looking at getting a used, used pickup truck.What would be the most durable and quality with a small price?

I’ve been looking at ford rangers but my conundrum is that a used ranger is the same price as a new ranger and if i look at low price ones they have a lot of miles on it and are basically shot.
So can some one please help me find the best truck that doesn’t have a lot of miles but with a small price tag?

Largest business is whether you want 4×4 or not. If you do then your price is going to go up a couple grand automatically. Rangers are excellent trucks, but they have a lot of known issues. I would avoid high mileage rangers. Like additional folks have said, Toyota is your best bet. They really do get better fuel mileage, last longer, and hold up better overall. My brother-in-law has a small ’94 Tacoma he has rolled twice and it still runs like groundbreaking new. He wastes me on fuel mileage in my Ford Examiner (which is virtually the same as a Ranger). If you can’t afford the Toyota, look for a Nissan. They are also fantastic trucks. My family has had a small two wheel drive Nissan bought new in 90. Hardly done a business to it and it’s getting close to 200k miles. Still starts and runs wonderful. Be patient and you can find a excellent deal on a Toyota. And don’t be worried of higher mileage on persons trucks. Sure, you might have to do some maintenance but it’s going to still last you.

THE TOYOTA’S ARE GOOD TRUCKS BUT YOU SAID SMALL PRICE AND YOU WONT GET ONE FOR A SMALL PRICE.

LOOK AT THE GMC SONOMA 2001 TO 2003, VERY RELIABLE AND THIS WOULD BE MORE IN LINE WITH THE PRICING THAT YOU ARE LOOKING INTO.
