How to fix my LG refrigerator? (ice maker)?

Every time I try and use my ice maker on my fridge it pretty much spits out ice everywhere, my boyfriend wants to try and fix it without calling a repair man considering we don’t have much money. Many others have had this conundrum before (I know this because I googled it) but no one gave any answers on how to fix it. The water dispenser works perfectly fine. Any suggestions?

If your boyfriend doesn’t know anything about how the ice maker works, you need to call a repairman out and get it repaired. You may have a $ 50.00 repair right now but if your boyfriend tries to fix it not knowing what he is doing the fifty dollar repair now may be a $ 200.00 repair or more. It may maybe be several different things and until someone can check it out properly you will never know. It may maybe be just a simple adjustment or the ice maker itself may be terrible.

We might need a small more info to help you diagnose the conundrum. If ice is life ground up and life improperly deflected, you may have ice build-up around the opening of the dispenser or on the grinder wheel.

If your refrigerator is new, it may still be under warranty, any from the seller or the manufacturer; repair won’t cost you a penny, then.
