Brother printers and printing pictures???

We bought a brother printer that has picture card slots in it. We thought that since it was set up for pictures, it would print nice ones.. The conundrum that we are having is when we print 8×10′s, there are lines in it.. the smaller pictures usualy turn out ok, but its the huge ones that turn out poorly.. Is there a certain way that we need to set it up?? I’m confused. Please help
It does this when I place my picture card into the printer AND when I upload them to my comp. and try to print them..

Honestly, I reckon it’s better if you just upload pictures from your camera to your computer, and print them out from there. I have a Brother Printer/Scanner/Copier, and it does the same business when I try to scan large photos. I don’t reckon the hardware inside the printer is very excellent for moving images around.

You don’t mention which model printer you have, but you can find the best prices for most models at http://sohojet.com

They have inkjet and toner cartridges, bulk ink, refill kits and continuous ink systems all give you costs that are a fraction of using OEM brother ink.
