i may buy this phone…is it excellent? ever had any problems with it? is it touch screen because in the pictures it looks like it is but it doesnt say anything about it

i want to to get the samsung Epic 4g from sprint and its a lot of money so before i go talk my mom into i want to make sure its a excellent phone?
