Will updating my Nokia N95 with latest version of Nokia software updater harm Nokia Maps on the device?

I have an N95 with firmware 21.0.016. I want to bring up to date to the latest i.e 30.0.015. I have latest version of Nokia Software Updater on my WinXP PC. On my device, I have Nokia Maps 1.2 installed and I won’t upgrade it to 2.0 in anticipation of my 90 day navigation licence is over. My question is, will the firmware bring up to date change the version of Nokia Maps Installed?

It should not change the version of Nokia Maps, a firmware jsut fixes bugs etc in the overall software.

Everything is deleted and reinstalled. The latest firmware comes with nokia maps 2. You may encounter conundrum reactivating the license.

There hasn’t been a firmware bring up to date for my Nokia N95 for more than a year…

I just bought a Nokia N95. The software version on it is V 11.0.026. I installed the Nokia Software Updater on my computer and logged on to the Nokia website. It tells me that there is an bring up to date available, version 12.0.013. The download file size is 111.9 MB; thats a huge file.

My question to you guys is that has anyone of you downloaded and installed this bring up to date? Is it any better than the preinstalled software, any installation problems that might have come crosswise?

Also, what will this bring up to date really do? Is it going to remove EVERYTHING, including the preinstalled software. My phone has some software preinstalled from the service provider that I have been unable to remove. Will it get rid of it also?

One other thing, my phone is unlocked and it works fine with any company’s sim card.

i have n95 too but software ver 10.0.01 its excellent i dont reckon about that i need tu bring up to date is but if you bring up to date then tell me plz
