Sony Vaio Laptop vs Samsung x360 or x640?

Which laptop do you reckon is better overall?

I bought a Samsung 40″ Widescreen 720 HDtv and I set up my X360 and my PS3 to it. I went about messing with the HD settings and tried 1080p, it let me do it on both systems. I haven’t noticed any scaling. So does anyone know what is going on? Is it just by 720p settings while I have it set to 1080p, or is it really scaling. Also, should I revert settings back to 720p, or will there be no difference if I keep it at 1080p/i?

There will be no difference because the max resolution your tv can show is 720p.

It is more that liable downgrading the pic or showing in 1080i.

I keep my PS3 (set on 1080p) on the TV in the bedroom which is 1080p, but when I go it to my Samsung in the living room the TV converts the signal to 720p without me altering the system settings.
