Simple. Wear a drain coat and nothing else. Walk up to your phone and quickly open the coat. Close it once your phone has been satisfactorily flashed.

Hello All,

I’ve received a nokia E75 from my sister and i believe it’s manufactured in 2009 because when switched on, date set start from 2009.

*#0000# output this:
- software version 100.48.78
- software version date : 25-03-09
- custom version 100.48.78
- custom version date 25-03-09
- language set: 29
- Model: E75-1
- Type: RM-412
- Latest bring up to date: not updated

I’ve tried to bring up to date to the current firmware which is 211.12.1 and it fails all the time, i’ve used the FOTA and i got this message “phone not updated.Bring up to date not compatible with the phone.Contact your service provider”. i can’t use 3G, i have 3.5G networks here.It uses EDGE all the time.

so i have couple of questions:

1- does that mean that my phone is locked somehow?
2- does that mean that there are levels of phone locking (access to 3G for example)
3- i’ve searched on the net and people are signifying the NAVIFIRM but i’m too frightened for that.(sparkle with JAF)
4- is there a way to solve this?

thanks for reading my long post.I wanted to give as much as possible for you to have a clear cut picture of my situation.

Yes, its locked.

Your phone is indeed locked. Manufacturers often severely lock down the hardware they sell. This restricts what you can and can’t sparkle onto it.

Contact your network and see what they can do for it.

PhoneArena presents a thorough comparison of the Nokia N8 and Apple iPhone 4. The Nokia N8 has a lot going for it. It is a multimedia powerhouse, packing a 12MP camera with a huge sensor, Carl-Zeiss lens, and a powerful Xenon sparkle. The Finnish handset also adds other notable virtues, that the iPhone 4 doesn’t have, namely the ability to play nearly any HD video file on a huge screen via HDMI-out, with 5.1 channel surround … For more details, check out our full comparison: www.phonearena.com
