How can I be sure that the price my Nokia priority dealer offering is genuine?

Because the dealer says that even priority dealers may vary regarding prices. Really the price I have seen on Internet(compareindia.com) for N70ME, N70 and N72 are different (quite less) from those quoted by the Dealer

Really i might say, that Nokia priority dealer’s price in fact should be more expensive (possibly not much) than usual dealers, these prices are kept higher, so usual dealer still want to take from Nokia Priority (if everyone is export from Nokia priority because it’s cheaper, then other dealer won’t take from Nokia priority because nobody would buy from them, so why Nokia priority desires other dealer to take from them? because dealers order in huge quantity, while regular buyers only buy one phone or two phones at a time, that’s a ethic cide in business)

Why are the priority dealers prices differ? i’m not sure bout that. they should be the same (the price). don’t believe any one in anticipation of u questioned their prices and equate urself.

And remember to check are they complete in everything, some might sell cheaper, but the warranty is only national, or dealer’s warranty (which u can’t not take to Nokia service center, because u’ll have to pay the fee). Or some might don’t have handsfree, extra battery, or anything, not so complete. that might be why some are cheaper than other. Btw be careful of refurbished phones (they usually so cheap, price is in the midle of the new and the second used phone), they packed it so nice, but really they’re un used phone on other country, and they service and re-packed it to our country.

I live in Toronto and got a text message notifying me that I won 170 000 euros as part of a Nokia promotion. I called the digit that was left in the text, and I called Spain. The guy on the other end told me that there was no catch except that I had to pay for the shipping and handling for them to send me my cheque. The amusing thing is, I don’t own the Nokia phone anymore, I gave it away, but the text message came to my new phone?

It’s certainly a scam, but I don’t know everywhere to look for research on the matter. Does anyone have any information to help me. There is a naive side to me that is as curious as a cat. And we all know what happened to the cat…lol.

It’s a scam.

They don’t have to “know” you to send you a
text message … they can send thousands of
spam text messages to facts in the renowned
valid phone digit range, and they happened
to pick your digit as one of those.

Possibly you should try to run a trace on the digit that sent you the message about the “free” money.

Barclays Capital Equity Research issued a note to clients Thursday, discussing Nokia’s (NYSE:NOK) recent pronouncement to offer Ovi Maps for free on its smartphones and the implications it has on shares of Garmin Ltd. (NASDAQ:GRMN). BarCap Wireless Equipment analyst Amir Rozwadowski said that while they don’t expect any near-term impact from Nokia’s announcement, the pronouncement may add to ongoing concerns surrounding the long-term value proposition of PNDs as navigation solutions are increasingly available on smartphones. Rozwadowski said in contrast to Google’s (NASDAQ:GOOG) free map service, Nokia’s map content will really sit on the device, providing more PND-like experience in Barclays’ view. Citigroup sees this as the first major vendor to provide the actual underlying mapping data for free on the device.
