Sony Ericsson Walkman 580i software?

Alright, so my brother recently bought a sony ericsson walkman 580i from his friend but only received the USB cord for it. Now, my brother is technically challenged to commence with, but I for myself am having a hard time finding the software online to place onto his computer to be able to place music onto his iPod. Anyone wanna help?

If you replace the word ipod with w580i then this’ll work:

Take your phone and connect it to your computer with the USB cable. Now go My Computer > phone > audio [or My Computer > phone card > MP3] and then open another window that has whatever music you want and copy and paste or drag and drop to the first window.

i have no distress by mp3 on this phone. i hook it to the computer and open the music file, then ringtones….click and drag selected tracks to that file….no conundrum
this also automatically puts them on the walkman too, so no worries.
