What Canon inject printers have chip free ink cartridges?

I want to replace my current List inkjet with a new one. I want one that does not have chipped ink cartridges. My current model is the i850. Any suggestions? I’m looking for excellent photo prints at a low cost.
I have been looking at printer cartridge prices, I just was hoping someone may maybe recommend one over another.

The newer list’s that take the individual cartridges are all chipped. You can search on Ebay for some of the older List printers that are not chipped (List Pixma iP4000/6000), but the new ones all have chips on the bottom.

Now there are replacements for persons cartridges out there that are about 5-7 dollars cheaper than the OEM List cartridges.

Help! I have replaced ink in my List ip 4300 printer, and they are full, but for the 3 colour inks it is reading as empty and for the large black it is read as low! yet they are full, and i can clearly see the ink! What should i do?

When you replaced the cartridges (guess your using XP) a box should have prompted you to say something similar to: “The front cover has been opened have you replaced the cartridges”?, What you would have to do is go into the main printer settings and reset the ink counter.

Some printers will say that they are empty, but will still print anyway. There are a few cartridges out there that have a chip in them to prevent refilling. You can hold a chip resetter online for (i reckon) about $ 15 U.S. dollars. Depends on your specific printer. Do a search for refilling your specific cartridges.

Not much, if these are not genuine List ink, then teh chip on it is not talking to the printer.

if there is no ink in the front of the apparent plastic tank, they are not full, they are empty. The sponge area is just used for flow control and does not really register as usable ink.

Ink level is also an estimate, but since you do have smart chipped cartridges there is no way around the fact that when they do register as empty, you will need to replace them as the printer will shut down.

In your program on your printer reset you ink counter.
I have a list mp 370 and every time i exchange the
ink tanks i have to reset the counter.
