The ice maker on my Samsung refrigerator won't work!?

My Samsung refrigerator has an ice dispenser in the freezer door. When I push the lever to get ice, it sounds like the motor is running, but no ice comes out. I’ve also had a problem with water collecting on the bottom of the refrigerator side. I think these two problems are related, but I can’t be 100% sure. Is there an easy fix for the ice maker problem? There is ice in the tray and I think its a problem with not being able to make more ice so the water going to the maker gets backed up and flows out of the refrigerator. Please help!!

Make sure the full bin indicator is unfolded and inside of the bin. Make sure the ice bin/dispenser is pushed back into the ice maker all the way. You want to check that the gear on the back of the dispenser’s auger is in the correct position too.

Doubt that the water collecting in the bottom of the refrigerator is related. That problem has been well covered here lately. If you end up getting a service tech out there, have him look at both problems.

There is a high-pitch whine coming from my newly purchased Samsung bottom-freezer refrigerator. Fridge is level and back from the wall to allow correct air circulation. Anyone else experiencing the same problem?
