Samsung Galaxy S Or Nokia N8 Or SE Xperia n10i?

Samsung Galaxy S Or Nokia N8 Or SE Xperia n10i?

Optus Galaxy, $ 29 Cap, 180 Value, 200mb data.
Optus Nokia N8, $ 29 Cap, $ 180 Value, 200mb data
Virgin BLue Sony Ericsson Xperia x10i, $ 29 Cap, $ 450, 200mb data.

This is in Australia, Sydney.

I can’t make up my mind. I read N8 has free GPS ? basically the maps are downloaded maybe via the ovi store for free ? and then N8 will use persons maps. is this right. i dont mind the N8, but the key points that i see in this phone is free GPS and the 12mp camera.

i like the galaxy S, since it seems to be somewhat decently excellent.i like the android platform and in terms of all additional aspects, it seems android is better than the symbian. Also im assuming you cant download maps and use an app in offline mode like the supposedly N8. key points i see in Galaxy S is many excellent apps and overall design. fun phone to have even if only limited to 200mb data.

the Xperia n10i, a whopping $ 450 value cap. Even if i dont call too often, i like to be rather safe than sorry. its a bring shame on that the internet data cannot be deducted from the cap. ( i remember vodafone allows internet data to be charged from your cap value.) A decent phone with fantastic value and supports andriod 2.1. ive heard they will be soon releasing it in andriod 2.2. ive read so many site saying it does and doesnt. i dont knwo what to judge, please authenticate. keypoints, huge cap value, andriod platform thus somewhat similar to Galaxy S in terms of apps and usability.

summary: i’d like the N8 for the gps functionality ( Even if i prob wont use it often, its a nice combination, mobile GPS that is ). The galaxy S is a well loved fun phone which is now cheap ( recent pricedrop), Xperia n10i, im assuming the same business as the Galaxy S but older OS ( i reckon upgradeable ? ), but huge cap value. is there any app that allows map downloads and free use of GPS for android phones ?

im really confused, i might be working soon, so i’d like to get a new phone, and i like web browsing on the trains and such. provide reasons why for your arguments.

much appreciated <3
issit possible to download the maps on the computer then transfer it or download through wifi ? in a sense that it doesnt consume the mobile internet data.

i have the n8 and like it. Im with 3 tho, same cap, but i advise u to add more data, 200mb is nothing with these phones. How the map business works is right, once u download a map its saved in ur phone, but like i said, up ur data coz maps eat alot of mb up. I really prefer using google maps, but each to their own. The camera is fantastic, thats the main reason i got mine, but overall its the best phone ive ever used in every way. Just my 2 cents lol…

The maps for Nokia N8 can be easily downloaded via Ovi Suite. The map of the whole world is about 8GB in size. Free time navigation is fun, especially when you go to a lot of places. The 12MP camera won’t fail you. It lacks some basic features like touch focus and smile shot, and the camera interface sucks, but the image quality is even better than some digital cameras out there.

The Galaxy is mainly made for enjoying media. Web browsing is superb, screen quality is one of the best in business. It has a loooot more apps than Symbian^3. Fret not, a lot of Symbian^3 games from the Ovi Store is fun. Samsung also promised to give the Galaxy S a Gingerbread update.

I really won’t recommend the XPERIA X10. The screen quality is the worst of the three. The Froyo (2.2) update will arrive at about Q2 of 2011 or within the next two months. Even if it is updated, the OS is still outdated since Gingerbread (2.3) will be the latest (some devices are already on Gingerbread) to run by that time.

I may be biased with the Galaxy S and the N8, but I judge my judgment is assess. The X10 is not worth my time. It does not even have multitouch! It may have that with the Froyo update, but SE promised nothing. I personally use a….. Nokia N8. the only business worth mentioning up your sleeve from that everything is brilliant is that some N8s have screen defects. Images in the screen would appear tinted with red/purple/brown tinge that really knows how to annoy. If you plot to buy an N8, try it at the store by locking the phone with the keylock switch located on the right side of the phone, and then press the menu button. The analog clock should show, and if the high half of the clock shows a purple tinge, it is defective. The defect is really annoying when you watch movies on it.

*edit*

I downloaded the map of my country via Ovi Suite using my PC, then simply transferred it to my phone. I used no mobile internet data on my phone. The data was all used via the whole. My N8 is on prepaid anyway, :) And you are not going to download all 8GB of the map of the world. Just pick a country whose map you want to download.
