Can I use my Motorola cell phone with another cell phone company?

I have a new Motorola MOTO – Q cell phone from Alltel and it has been sitting in it’s box for one year.

Can I use it with my new Century Tel cell phone provider?

Answer by Alex H
call customer service and question them

Alltel uses SIM card technology so in order to be able to use it with your new carrier they also have to have to use SIM cards. You would have to get the phone unlocked to use with the additional companies sim card.

I have a motorola cell phone from fido which is not working anymore (even if my contract with fido has still one year remaining). Is it possible that I can buy a used cell phone and place the sim card from my motorola phone in it and then can use the used phone for my current fido plot.
